Overview

Are you wanting to work with and support the next generation in a school setting?

Affinity Workforce Solutions are working in partnership with all five secondary schools in Weston-Super-Mare, and they are looking for Sports Coaches to start as soon as possible. We already have job vacancies available for the correct candidates, who must be charismatic, enthusiastic and will be a positive influence on the young people they will be working with. The working hours are between 8:15-3:15, and are looking for full-time roles, but will be flexible to part-time hours as well.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to gain their teaching qualification or has previous sports coaching experience either inside or outside the classroom.

Responsibilities

• deliver pre-prepared sports lessons and activities to students aged 11 to 16 years of age across all areas of sports.
• promote a positive and inclusive sports culture, encouraging all students to participate.
• collaborate with colleagues in the PE department team to deliver lessons.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education or related field.
• Experience coaching and working with secondary school students.
• Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and PE curriculum.
• Team player with initiative and good sense of humour.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sports-related safety protocols.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to the demands of the job.
• Will be supporting the teacher in PE classes.
