• Experience in supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care, and bowel management.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Spinal Injury Team Leader

Location : Birmingham

Job Type : Zero-hour contract

Shifts : 12 hour day shifts & night shifts. Team Leader expectations would be a split of hours on the rota as a Support Worker, alongside hours for administration / other duties.

We are offering an opportunity for experienced Team Leader / Senior Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our new client in Birmingham. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities :

As a team leader, you will :

• Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding person‑centred care
• Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
• Assist with rota management and ensure adequate staffing for each care package
• Maintain accurate care records
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and professionals
• Support with training and development of care staffEnsure compliance with company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
• Provide hands‑on care when required to maintain service continuity.

What We’re Looking For :

• Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
• A caring and compassionate nature
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts essential.
