Speed Assembly Operator - Aerospace Manufacturing

We are recruiting an experienced Speed Assembly Operator to join a high-quality aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on role focused on the assembly and manufacture of precision components and sub‑assemblies to aerospace standards.

You will be responsible for producing quality finished assemblies in line with engineering drawings, manufacturing build specifications and routings, working efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manual assembly of aerospace components to specification
  • Setting up and using jigs and fixtures for assembly and test
  • Self‑inspection and maintaining quality standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement across Quality, Cost and Delivery
  • Contributing to root cause analysis and new product introduction
  • Maintaining shop‑floor housekeeping and health & safety standards
  • Training others where subject‑matter expertise is held
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing
  • Expert in at least one of: Vacuum Brazing, General Assembly, Soldering (J‑STD‑001)
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Committed to quality, deadlines and teamwork
  • Good eyesight, including depth perception and colour vision
Desirable Experience
  • Coil winding, welding (TIG / resistance / induction), encapsulation, potting, grit blasting, NDT, electron beam welding
  • Exposure to Lean / 6S / Kanban / Poka Yoke
