Speech & Language Therapist

Permanent, 18.5 hours

Salary Scale: Band 7 £50,861 - £59,159 pro rata

We are excited to invite applications for a Band 7 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our SLT team at Ninewells Hospital, working within acute care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SLT with advanced clinical skills in managing highly complex dysphagia and communication difficulties in acutely unwell patients. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team in Ninewells Hospital, contributing to high-quality care and service innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the assessment and management of complex dysphagia and communication needs.
  • Provide expert input into complex communication assessments and rehabilitation.
  • Deliver practice education to SLT students and support learning for AHP, nursing, and medical colleagues.
  • Lead on audit, service development, quality improvement.
  • Participate in peer support, clinical supervision, and appraisal processes.
  • Participate in instrumental assessments of swallowing (e.g., FEES/VFSS).
