Overview

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Harrow | £100-£120 per day | Start: ASAP

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils with communication and language needs across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to deliver both 1:1 and small-group interventions, focusing on supporting pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties, helping children develop expressive and receptive language skills, implementing strategies from Speech and Language Therapists, supporting social interaction and building pupil confidence, and adapting classroom activities to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to support speech, language and communication development.
  • Implement strategies from Speech and Language Therapists and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
  • Support social interaction and build pupil confidence.
  • Collaborate with the SENCo and class teachers to plan and monitor progress across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
