Job description
Overview

Speech and Language Therapist at Longdon Hall School (Acorn Education brand), Staffordshire. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 am – 04:30 pm, permanent contract (alternative term‑time contract negotiable). Part of Outcomes First Group, a Great Place to Work for the 5th consecutive year. Roles are within a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people aged 7 and up.

Responsibilities
  • Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload, supported by a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
  • Provide person‑centred, empowering interventions, maintaining a strong safeguarding culture.
  • Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Participate in research projects, special interest groups and wider network training & development.
  • Assist with CPD planning and complete role‑specific training (2000 training allowance provided after probation).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, ensuring pupils’ needs and progress are documented and communicated.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to the client group.
  • Good relationship‑building, analytical and judgemental skills.

Additional Information
