Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, NE9 6SX

Band: Band 6/7

Contract Type: Locum

Are you a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist specialising in adult neurology SLT looking for a locum role?

We are looking for skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the team working within the Gateshead community. The post holder will work as part of the community team, assessing, diagnosing and providing treatment to people with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a specialist Speech and Language Service to adults who present with a range of swallowing disorders including those who have complex and/or severe difficulties, predominantly in community settings.
  • To provide dysphagia and communication assessments and therapy.

Essential Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist with:

  • BSc or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Experience in adult neuro
  • dysphgia competent
