Job summary

A leading education support company in Barnet is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to provide therapy for pupils aged 4–19 with complex communication needs. You will deliver therapy sessions, work with a multidisciplinary team, and support EHCP targets. Experience with SLD and ASD is preferred. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience working with SLD, ASD and non-verbal students; school-based or paediatric experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.

• Work with pupils using AAC methods such as PECS and Makaton.

Overview

Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration for a Barnet SEN school. Immediate or after half-term start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions to pupils aged 4–19 with complex communication needs, many of whom are non-verbal.
• Work with pupils with SLD, ASD and PMLD, using AAC methods such as PECS, AAC devices and Makaton.
• Support EHCP targets and collaborate with teaching and support staff within a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to therapy-led approaches and participate in regular CPD and supervision.

Requirements / Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience working with SLD, ASD and non-verbal students; school-based or paediatric experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Experience delivering school-based therapy; ability to work with pupils aged 4–19 in a SEN setting.
