  • Eligibility for Section 12 (Mental Health Act) AC Approval is required.
  • You should have evidence of achievement equivalent to ST4+ in psychiatry.

Speciality Doctor - WAM Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to join the Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead Community Mental Health Team within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

WAM CMHT provides mental health care for working-age adults across a diverse population of around 153,000, working closely with Prospect Park Hospital inpatient services, Early Intervention in Psychosis, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, and other specialist services to ensure seamless care.

You’ll join a well-established multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and support staff. The medical team comprises two Consultant Psychiatrists and SAS colleagues, fostering collaborative working and cross-cover arrangements.

The post is based at a newly refurbished facility in Maidenhead town centre, with excellent transport links via the Elizabeth Line and M4 corridor. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead offers outstanding schools, cultural attractions, and beautiful outdoor spaces along the River Thames and Chiltern Hills.

Qualifications
  • Registered Medical Practitioner with General Medical Council
