Overview

The role of Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist is to provide high quality evidence-based speech and language therapy, which promotes the participation, function and safe care of children and young people accessing The Childrens Trust. Your aim is to deliver child and family focused goal led interventions supporting those with speech, language and communication needs and to those with dysphagia needs.

Service context

The Childrens Trust is the UK's leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy for children and young people, focusing on participation, function and safe care.
  • Provide child- and family-focused, goal-led interventions for speech, language and communication needs and dysphagia.
  • Support the service for children and young people with tracheostomies, within the limits of personal skills and competencies.

Salary: £43,368 to £51,204 a year dependent upon experience inclusive of Outer London Weighting
