Overview

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high-quality therapy interventions and contribute to service development and improvement. In return, we'll support your growth with opportunities to enhance your leadership skills by deputising for the Team Leader and managing Band 5 staff, assistants, and students.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specialist physio-therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse neurological presentations to provide a therapeutic diagnosis and develop and deliver a specialised individual treatment programme.
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
  • Supervise staff within neurorehabilitation team.
  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including managing patients in your care and working without direct supervision.
  • Maintain respiratory competencies to facilitate participation in out of hours service as required.
  • To deputise for the Band 7 in their absence.
  • Good time management, good organisational skills, a flexible approach, effective interpersonal skills, and problem-solving ability are required.
  • Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams practice within the department.
  • Work within Trust Guidelines and CSP Guidelines.
  • To participate in the evening, weekend and statutory holiday on-call duties.
