About the role – 3 PAs

You will play a key role in delivering outstanding neurology care across outpatient and inpatient settings, with a strong focus on general neurology and the opportunity to develop or expand a specialist interest—particularly in Multiple Sclerosis. Working within a cohesive team of experienced consultants, specialist nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will help us provide a seamless, patient‑centred service that ensures patients see the right clinician first time.

Main duties of the job

Join our multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive acute neurology service. This role involves:

  • Providing a daily in‑reach Monday to Friday ward referral service and covering colleagues during their absence.
  • Maintaining responsibility for patient care, ensuring safe handovers.
  • Supervising nurse specialists in collaboration with other consultants.
  • Offering prompt consultations to other specialties as needed.
  • Collaborating with medical, nursing, and management teams to enhance clinical leadership and patient experiences.
  • Engaging in education, research, audit, and clinical governance activities with a focus on a multi‑disciplinary approach.
  • Supporting recruitment, appraisal, and mentoring within the team.
  • Undertaking additional duties as required, with changes negotiated and reflected in job plans.
