Job summary

A leading health organization in Wales is seeking a Specialist Acute Dietitian to join their Dietetics Department. This role covers General Medicine and Surgical areas, requiring the oversight of Vascular surgical patients. The ideal candidate will have HCPC registration, experience in specialized dietetics, and excellent communication skills. The position offers a salary between £39,263 and £47,280 annually, with a commitment to team improvement and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Job description

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Dietetics Department at Glan Clwyd Hospital as a Specialist Acute Dietitian. This post will cover a range of areas, including General Medicine, Surgical and will have a responsibility for the oversight of the Vascular surgical patients. The patient groups can have complicated acute and chronic nutritional presentations which require specialist dietetic treatment.

MDT working is a key part of the role and developing these relationships will be vital.

Main duties of the job

Quality Improvement work is essential to ensure continued service improvements are identified and encouraged within the team.

The role will also require supervision for junior staff, dietetic assistants and student training will be an integral part of the job.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
