Job summary

Overview

A Vacancy at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Band 6 Multidisciplinary BMS. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working individuals able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work. The posts are for 37.5 hours a week, and involve a full 24/7 rota after a period of suitable training. This post is based at St.Georges' Hospital; however, post holders may be required to work at any of the South West London Pathology sites as and when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Full-time BMS role with rotation through biochemistry, haematology, blood transfusion and coagulation.
  • Full participation in OOH rota in all sections.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicants must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • State Registered Biomedical Scientists with suitable qualification and motivation to join a well-established team.
  • Experience in automated systems: Coulter DxH 900 analysers; ACL Top; Immucor BT; Beckman AU 5800; DxI 900; Beckman DxA 5000 track; manual/semi-automated секtions including mass spectrometry and osmometers (as relevant to Biochemistry).
