Job description

Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Specialist Audiologist.

You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality audiological services. Your primary focus will be on supporting both the Adult and paediatric Hearing Service, helping individuals regain confidence in their hearing and improving their quality of life.

We are an IQIPS accredited service. You will be expected to provide support to patients attending the audiology service and/or ENT. You will undertake routine diagnostic assessment of patients of all ages, fit and maintain NHS hearing aids and participate in all routine duties within the department.

You will assist in the day-to-day running of the Department, participate with the supervision of BSc students under the guidance of the Team Leader, work with children, families and adults, planning diagnostic testing and rehabilitation programmes and develop a specialist interest area, taking responsibility for this area as part of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and managing a caseload of adult and/or children
  • Planning and carrying out audiological diagnostic testing
  • Contributing to data collection for audit and/or service planning
  • Supervising students and/or junior members of staff
  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Department
  • Participating with the supervision of BSc students under the overall guidance of the Team Leader
  • Working with children, families and adults, planning diagnostic testing and rehabilitation programmes
  • Developing a specialist interest area and taking responsibility for this area as part of the team
