Job description

Enhance Learning and Support has an opportunity available for a Special School School Nurse role as a Bank Nurse to help us provide nursing support to pupils in special education provision, this could be working across all our schools which are based in Warwick, Nuneaton, Exhall and Coventry. The successful applicant will join an already established School Nursing Service and support pupils with complex health needs access education. The purpose of this role is to support the special school nursing team in the delivery of high-quality nursing care, support, training and advice to meet the complex needs of pupils across our special education nursing service. You will need to work independently with support from either healthcare assistants, nursing assistants or nurse associates. We are committed to clinical support, continued professional development and training. The SEND provisions we support provide educational provision to children and young people with special education needs aged from 4-19 years across both primary and secondary school and also young people with a learning disability in access further education in college. Main Duties

  • Provide compassionate, safe and effective care and support children and young people with a range of health needs access education.
  • Contribute to the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care in association with the registered nurse.
  • To undertake training relevant to the role.
  • To be registered with the NMC for either child, adult or learning disability branch of nursing
  • Exercise personal responsibility and work independently.

Enhance Learning and Support school nursing team consists of a Service Manager, School Nurses, Nurse Associates, School Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to meet the diverse needs of our customers. We all work across different bases to ensure continuity of our service.
