Job description
The Role

A great opportunity for an experienced Project Surveyor to lead on cladding, fire safety and latent defect remediation projects across a residential portfolio. You'll manage major remedial works from inception to completion, act as a technical specialist, and work closely with residents, contractors and internal teams. The role includes regular evening and occasional weekend meetings to support resident engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cladding, fire safety and latent defect remediation projects.
  • Lead work packages ensuring quality, cost and programme targets are achieved.
  • Carry out surveys, produce technical documentation and oversee design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards and CDM duties.
  • Manage contractors and consultants; administer JCT contracts.
  • Communicate clearly with residents and stakeholders, handling queries and complaints.
  • Prepare project reports and support risk, cost and quality management.
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree/NVQ in Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
  • Chartered (RICS, CIOB or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in cladding remediation, fire safety or major refurbishment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of building regulations, fire safety and cladding systems.
  • Confident managing contractors, consultants and multiple work streams.
  • Clear communicator able to explain technical matters simply.
  • Organised, proactive, customer-focused and able to work independently.
  • Strong IT and numerical skills.
Desirable
  • Fire safety qualifications (NEBOSH Fire, Level 4/5 Diplomas, IFE membership).
  • Experience with building control, invoice systems and large-scale resident engagement.
