Starting in the spring term of January 2026, this role is perfect for a proactive QTS Spanish Teacher who wants to hit the ground running. Whether you are stepping into a long-term maternity cover or a fixed-term contract, you will be a vital part of a thriving MFL department.
In Chorley, you will work with motivated students, helping them build the confidence to communicate effectively in Spanish. Your role will be essential in guiding Year 11 students through the final, critical months of their GCSE preparation while inspiring younger year groups with the vibrant traditions of Spain and Latin America.
January Launch: Deliver high-quality, interactive Spanish lessons from the start of the new year across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
GCSE Attainment: Prepare students for their summer exams, with a specific focus on honing speaking and listening skills and mastering complex grammar (including the subjunctive and compound tenses).
Cultural Immersive: Bring the Spanish-speaking world to life in the classroom using authentic media, music, and digital resources.
Track & Support: Use assessment data to provide clear feedback, ensuring students of all abilities are making measurable progress.
Faculty Integration: Collaborate with Chorley's dedicated MFL staff to ensure consistency and a high standard of language delivery.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory, along with a relevant degree in Spanish or Languages.
Linguistic Expertise: High-level proficiency in Spanish, with a deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
