Job description

Quantum Scholars are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Berkshire that is seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join their team from January. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic language specialist to contribute to a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department.

The school hiring is a co-educational secondary academy serving students aged 11 to 18. With a student body of over 1,700, including approximately 400 in its sixth form, the school fosters a supportive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and wider school events
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish within a secondary school setting
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
