Position Details

Position: Sous Chef
Employer: Premium Italian Restaurant
Location: Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, Scotland
Gross salary package: circa £45,000 (incl. share of tronc/serv.chge+target led bonus)
Weekly working hours/days: up to 48 hours / 5 days

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver exceptional Italian cuisine.
  • Supervise junior chefs, manage food preparation and presentation, oversee purchasing and stock control.
  • Maintain food cost and gross profit targets.
  • Handle relevant administrative duties and contribute to menu development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Eligibility to live and work in UK.
  • Experience in the preparation of authentic high-quality Italian dishes.
  • Technical knowledge of ingredient quality, sourcing, measuring & formulation.
  • Minimum 3 years in the role of Sous Chef and at least 6 years of prior experience in escalating job ranks.
  • Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols.
  • Computer literacy, plus sound financial & business acumen.
  • Resident within commutable distance of up to one hour.
