Job description

We are currently seeking an ambitious NQ Solicitor or Solicitor with up to 5 years PQE to join our esteemed York team. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on both commercial and agricultural property cases, engage in diverse and interesting legal matters, and make an impact in collaboration with a team of seasoned professionals. You will be part of a large, firmwide real estate team recognised for specialist expertise in agricultural law, renewable energy and significant commercial property work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal with commercial freehold sales and purchases, finance and remortgage work, and ancillary commercial property matters such as easements or telecommunication leases.
  • Process the acquisition and sale of farms and farmland, and other property‑based work for agricultural clients.
  • Handle commercial and agricultural landlord‑and‑tenant work.
  • Work as part of a team, supporting other fee earners on renewable‑energy project property work, large developments, high‑value or complex commercial property matters.
  • Ensure matters are professionally and promptly dealt with to the complete satisfaction of the client and in full compliance with professional obligations.
  • Build client and industry relationships and assist with business development.
