Job summary

A legal recruitment agency is seeking a Solicitor to provide legal advice and conduct litigation in housing law. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting junior team members. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Law Society Practicing Certificate and ideally have experience in housing law. Location: Fleet House, 59-61 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1M 5NW

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 1+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 45.00 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on housing management, landlord & tenant issues.
  • Conduct litigation efficiently, including cases like anti-social behavior, tenancy fraud, and housing disrepair.
  • Assist in complex legal matters with guidance from senior team members.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements.
  • Ensure effective communication between legal team and other departments.
  • Develop and implement legal processes and procedures for housing management.
  • Stay updated with legal and regulatory changes affecting Housing Associations.
  • Support junior team members and collaborate with the wider legal team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all activities.
  • Provide cover for other team members when needed.
Person Specifications
Must Have:
  • Valid Law Society Practicing Certificate or Bar Council certificate with litigation ability.
Nice to Have:
