Solicitor or CILEx (must be able to charge at Grade A rate)

A leading claimant personal injury practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor or CILEx to join a specialist team working exclusively on complex, high-value Multi-Track and Clinical Negligence claims. This is a rare opportunity to work on six- and seven-figure cases in a highly supportive environment, offering exceptional involvement without the pressure of running your own caseload.

The Role

Working as part of a small specialist team, you will support a Director across a high-quality caseload of serious and catastrophic injury claims. You will be involved from the early stages through to trial preparation, including:

  • Drafting witness statements and letters of claim
  • Managing pre-issue and post-issue litigation tasks
  • Liaising with defendants, counsel, experts, and clients
  • Preparing key court documents: claim forms, particulars, schedules of loss, disclosure lists, bundles, etc.
  • Taking liability and quantum witness statements
  • Researching quantum and relevant issues
  • Coordinating conferences with counsel
  • Handling trial preparation and organisational work

You will not be required to handle final settlement negotiations, which are retained by the Director.

Type of Work

You will gain exposure to a broad range of complex, high-value matters, including:

  • Serious RTA and EL/PL claims
  • Catastrophic injury (brain injury, spinal injury, amputations)
  • Fatal accident claims
  • Clinical negligence (misdiagnosis, surgical errors, delayed treatment, amputation‑related negligence, and more)

This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful involvement in top-tier litigation without the burden of managing a full caseload.

Who This Would Suit

This position is perfect for:

  • Grade A Solicitor or CILEx who wants hands‑on exposure to serious and high‑value work; or
  • Someone experienced in multi‑track Personal Injury seeking a clear pathway into catastrophic injury and clinical negligence.

Candidates with strong MT experience typically transition into the work seamlessly.

Team Culture

You’ll be joining a close‑knit, supportive team where:

  • You are trusted and given genuine autonomy.
  • You play an integral role in progressing high‑value cases.
  • The environment is collaborative, grown‑up and focused on delivering excellent results.
Requirements
