Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our Intermediate Track Team in a dual‑capacity role that blends technical expertise with hands‑on case management. This position is ideal for a solicitor or CILEX‑qualified lawyer with litigation rights who thrives on complex litigation work and enjoys mentoring others. The role encompasses:

Case Management

Handling a portfolio of Intermediate Track cases, including litigated matters, ensuring timely progression and resolution aligned with client expectations and business objectives.

Technical Leadership

Acting as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to colleagues across the post‑litigation process, while ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Intermediate Track cases.
  • Provide technical supervision and mentoring to team members and the wider practice.
  • Draft high‑quality legal documents, including pleadings, interlocutory applications, supporting statements.
  • Advise on complex litigation issues, procedural strategies, and risk management.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing best practices and delivering training sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.
Experience & Knowledge
  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation rights.
  • Proven ability to manage a personal caseload effectively.
  • Strong drafting skills for applications, pleadings, and supporting documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working to performance targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering clear, practical guidance.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and commercial awareness.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to team success.

Interest in emerging technologies such as AI (desirable but not essential).
