Software Test Engineer - Scientistic/AI Software Company

Newcastle / Hybrid - Office visit once a week

Up to £55,000 + benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Software Test Engineer to join their team to help change this world with 3D Visualisation Software technologies! This is a significant opportunity to work on real-world problems and be the one to help get rid of these problems. This is a hands development opportunity which involves both legacy and greenfield projects. Working mainly within Manual Testing, there will be a chance to develop their Automation Testing Function and develop personally and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support work with Continuous Integration, Testing and Deployment Strategy.
• Certification Testing and Performance Testing
• Actively participate in the resolution of complex technical problems
• Implement and Assist with automation testing where appropriate
• Create, review, execute and maintain test scripts for both automated and manual
• Produce appropriate documentation
• Share knowledge of the code-base and encourages “shared code ownership”
• Identify new technologies where applicable
• Take ownership of code quality and drives continuous improvement

Requirements / Experience in

• 5+ years’ experience within Manual QA / Testing role in an Agile setting
• Experienced in some programming languages like C++, C# or Python
• A desire to learn and progress in things like Automation
• Experience in Agile working with SCRUM, TDD and BDD principles
• Experience in User Accepting Testing
• Experience in collecting, analysing and presenting UAT results.
• Familiarity with a test-first development methodology such as TDD or BDD
• Experience in 3D Visualisation Software and test with Ranorex would be desirable!
