As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating mission-critical systems. You’ll balance people leadership, technical excellence, and delivery, while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, and other Engineering leaders.

Job Descriptions

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of software engineers through regular feedback, mentoring, and career development
• Drive the delivery of high‑quality, scalable, and secure software solutions in a regulated fintech environment
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical plans and execution
• Own technical decision‑making within your team while contributing to broader architectural discussions
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Ensure operational excellence through strong engineering practices (code reviews, testing, observability, incident management)
• Hire exceptional engineers and help scale the team thoughtfully as Tipalti grows

About You

• Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager (or a senior tech lead transitioning into management)
• Strong background in building and operating production‑grade systems (e.g., distributed systems, APIs, backend platforms)
• Experience leading teams using modern engineering practices (CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automated testing)
• Ability to balance hands‑on technical understanding with people and delivery leadership
• Excellent communication skills and experience working cross‑functionally
• Passion for building inclusive, high‑performing teams
