Qualifications

About our Team:

By joining us you will have the opportunity to share ownership in solving this problem end to end. From exploring new data sources for building features, to design and put in production predictive models and make sure they perform consistently over time. We have available terabytes of flights, events and news data and we constantly add new data sources. What we are looking for is someone with sound technical knowledge in ML, statistics and software engineering, the creativity to leverage this knowledge in solving unusual problems and the will to operate while outside his/her comfort zone

About the Role:

You’ll be part of our Software Engineering squads, working with talented engineers and performing complex research, design, and implementation within a software functional area or product line. Your role will cover all aspects of the software development lifecycle as you will develop, refactor, fix, test and review new software functionality, improvements, and bug fixes to our product portfolio. You will also provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products.

To be a role model and leader for not just your squad, but all of Cirium engineering. Foster innovative culture, handle stakeholder meetings and discussions with other business entities to bring products to market.

You will be a champion for engineering and open to new ideas and technology – we like to keep ahead of the game not just up to date!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refactor, fix, test and review new software functionality, improvements, and bug fixes to our flagship enterprise products.

  • Work with the development team on design and code refactoring to ensure a quality code base.

  • Peer code review to promote best practice and continuous improvement.

  • Test your own code and your colleague’s code. No code should go untested!

  • Liaise with Customer Support Team to help diagnose and solve problems.

  • Collaborate with other team members to apply new ideas, practices, and tools to improve the team’s effectiveness, finding opportunities to improve Cirium’s products, processes, and development environment.

  • Write and review detailed documentation for the development of micro services.

  • Keep abreast of new technology developments and bring these into the business, particularly GenAI.

Requirements:

  • You should a strong level of experience in managing a Team .

  • You have a n advanced knowledge of working in Agile/Scrum environments .

  • You have the ability to work with complex data models .

  • You have expertise in development languages and technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GraphQL , HTML, CSS, Node, Json, XML, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Python and .Net . Prefferable experience with TDD also.

  • You have significant experience leveraging and administering could services such as AWS and the services they offe r including but not limited to lambda functions, EKS, ECS, SQS, etc.

  • You can write and review detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

  • You share your ideas and designs effectively with others via documentation or verbal mediums across various audiences within the organization .

  • An interest in GenAI
