A leading technology firm in Belfast is seeking a Software Architect to lead a team and establish technical direction in delivering cutting-edge integrated air defence solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant software engineering experience and a collaborative mindset, with proficiency in Agile methodologies. Thales (Belfast) have an opportunity for a Software Architect to work on cutting edge technology delivering integrated air defence solutions and military management information systems. The successful candidate will work within an integrated project team and will develop their skills through being involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Working within an Agile environment you will take a key role within the business as a Software Architect. You will be responsible for leading a team and the alignment of the technical direction. Providing a strong technical direction involves establishing a technical vision, resolving technical disagreements and managing the technical quality of team deliverables.
We recruit Software Architects at many levels but we would expect to see many of the below traits and experiences in a successful candidate, or at least plenty of potential.

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
