Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Soft Landscaping Team Leader on behalf a company based just outside Northampton. On offer is a permanent and full-time job paying £32,708.00 plus 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, the opportunity to work overtime, a benefits package that gives retail holiday booking and gym membership discounts, a pension scheme and the opportunity for ongoing training and career progression. Also included is a company van which is kept at the yard overnight.

Our client specialises in the installation of landscaping on new build sites including show areas and standard plots.

Responsibilities

• Leading and working alongside a small team of soft landscapers on new build housing developments.
• Preparing the ground, turfing, planting, barking and mulching.
• Ensuring work is completed to company quality standards and is recorded and reported to the office.
• Ensuring that all vehicles and machinery used are in good order and safe to operate.
• Making sure that all tools and equipment are well maintained, clean and serviceable.

Requirements

• Soft landscaping experience (ground prep, turfing, planting, mulching and barking).
• Experience of leading and working alongside a small team of landscapers.
• A UK Driving Licence and your own transport to be able to get to the yard in the morning.

Useful skills (optional)

• CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS card.
• Experience of installing landscaping on new build housing developments.
