Social Worker - Permanence Team

Salary: £40,369 - £43,686

Location: Northamptonshire

Employer: Northamptonshire Children's Trust

The Permanence Team is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to work collaboratively with families and support children looked after by the Local Authority with a Care Plan of adoption. This is a fast‑paced, rewarding role where you'll help children achieve stability and security for their future.

About the Role
  • Undertake court work proceedings.
  • Use evidence‑based interventions to effect positive change.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and carers.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Children in Care Service and external partners.
  • Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet timescales.
About You
  • Recognised Social Work qualification (degree/diploma) and registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with looked after children (LAC), court teams, or safeguarding services.
  • Previous experience of adoption and Child Permanence Report (CPR) writing.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and collaborative working.
