What You Will Do

Conduct high-quality family assessments to identify needs, strengths, risks, and desired outcomes.

Create outcome-focused Family Plans to support positive change and improve family functioning.

Deliver targeted early help interventions, including home visits, direct work with children, and solution-focused approaches.

Identify and respond to early safeguarding concerns, implementing appropriate safety plans and liaising with statutory partners.

Manage a varied caseload, ensuring consistent visits, planning, and leading Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings.

Work effectively within a multi-agency network, collaborating with schools, health professionals, and wider community partners.

Use evidence-based tools in direct work to support emotional, social, and behavioural development in children.

Maintain high professional and regulatory standards, engaging in reflective practice and contributing to service development.

Skills and Experience Required

Background in Children’s Social Care, Early Help, Family Support, or Safeguarding.

Strong assessment, planning, and intervention abilities in complex family situations.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to build trust and develop positive working relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

Social Work England registration.

Completion of ASYE (or near completion).
