Qualifications

Job description

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Adults Mental Health team to work full time, based in Waltham Forest.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £41,586 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify needs and determine intervention/referral to the appropriate service.
  • Conduct assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Plan and implement interventions and actions for allocated cases.
  • Monitor and review cases, and assess in more complex cases with guidance.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies supporting vulnerable people.
  • Liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to ensure vulnerable people and carers are supported.
  • Maintain properly documented case files, records and information. Prepare standard reports as required including tribunal reports
  • Carry out all duties with an awareness and understanding of the Safeguarding requirements within area of responsibility.
  • Proactively develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Supports colleagues in the team.
  • Act in accordance with all policies and procedures which apply to the job and understand the reasons for this.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality and legally compliant social care practice to agreed standards for the staff within the remit of the post.
  • To ensure the implementation of Making Safeguarding Personal.
  • To ensure that the assessment and support planning process is robust and meets agreed guidance and standards.
Requirements of this Social Worker Job
  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Children’s Services.
  • Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
