Adults Localities Social Worker

Up to £43,545 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Compliance : Work within the Care Act 2014 and other relevant statutory frameworks. You will take responsibility for maintaining a high standard of professional practice and developing your core skills and knowledge in collaboration with your line manager.
  • Professional Values : Apply Social Work principles and values to your practice, emulating our corporate values in all interactions with residents, colleagues, and partners.
  • Reflective Practice : Engage fully in supervision, applying critical reflection and analysis to inform professional decisions. You will ensure risks are discussed with your line manager to gain direction, advice, and support.
  • Caseload Management : Effectively manage a reasonable caseload appropriate to your experience, maintaining adequate throughput. You will discuss challenges with your line manager in a timely way to access support with prioritisation.
  • Expert Guidance : Provide support and expert advice on social care to social care assessors, students, and partners.
  • Holistic Assessment : Be professionally curious when undertaking effective assessments of individual and carer needs and risks. Use a strengths-based, person-centred approach focused on outcomes, promoting a holistic, multi-agency approach by developing collaborative working relationships.
  • Partnership Working : Work directly in partnership with residents, their families, and carers to enable them to maintain independence, cope with change, attain desired outcomes, and participate in the life of their communities.
  • Communication : Provide advice and information to residents and carers, ensuring that assessments, care and support plans, and information about charging / service provision are communicated in a timely and clear manner.

  • Qualified : You must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
