What you will do :
  • Deliver high-quality social work practice in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of the well-being of vulnerable adults.
  • Manage complex cases efficiently, conducting risk assessments and formulating comprehensive care plans.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
  • Undertake statutory assessments and craft outcome-focused care plans, always reviewing and updating them regularly.
  • Balance safeguarding duties with the promotion of independence through risk management strategies.
  • Provide support to individuals across various needs including physical disabilities, mental health needs, substance misuse, and transitions from children's to adult services.
  • Guide and offer supervisory support to other Social Workers, stepping in as deputy in the Team Manager's absence.
Requirements of the Social Worker :
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
  • Significant frontline experience as a qualified Social Worker within the UK Social Services.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding principles, and person-centred approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads and maintain high standards in both written and everyday practice.
