A specialist mental health institution is seeking a Social Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team in London. The role involves delivering personalized interventions in an in-patient setting and supporting service users through their recovery journey. Ideal candidates should have a Psychology degree and possess strong communication and empathy skills. The position requires working 38.5 hours weekly, including day and night shifts.

As a Social Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on an in-patient ward (Sunrise Ward) with supervision, support and training you will deliver interventions defined within the personalised care plan, spend time engaging, connecting and supporting service users, families, carers and friends through their recovery pathway. You will help facilitate activities/groups and ward based projects and be actively involved in every aspect of their physical, psychological and social care of people who uses our service. You will be expected to work 38.5 hours a week with an expectation of working days and nights.
Sunrise Ward is a highly specialised eating disorder service for women, including those with extremely low BMIs. We focus on supporting individuals to attain a healthy BMI and prepare for a return to home. Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.
Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.
