The Social Media Manager supports the Social Media Director across all programmes and projects, and is essential in executing an evolving global social media strategy. The role focuses on developing productive relationships between cross-functional teams and agency partners, ideating, planning, managing and activating campaigns and BAU content. It requires strategic thinking, creative flair, and the ability to be a self-starter and leader, bringing innovative ideas to set the brand apart across social channels.

Responsibilities
  • Ideate, plan, manage and activate campaigns and BAU content across social channels.
  • Develop productive and collaborative relationships between cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Execute an evolving global social media strategy with strategic thinking and creative execution.
  • Lead initiatives with independence and provide innovative ideas to differentiate the brand on social platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Global Social Media Director and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with global strategy.
  • Oversee content creation processes, calendars, Go-To-Market decks, and related deliverables.
  • Manage the monthly paid social media budget to maximise ROI and meet performance metrics.
  • Act as a key point of contact for regional teams to ensure local strategies ladder up to global strategy.
Leadership & Strategy
  • Team leadership: Inspire and motivate the team with a compelling vision aligned to the brand mission and values.
  • Project management: Demonstrate a self-starter approach and accountability for output.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Build strong relationships across Creative, Communications, Finance, Marketing, and regional teams.
  • Communication: Articulate plans, priorities, and expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Executional excellence: Ensure disciplined execution and accountability to deadlines and results.
  • Consumer-centric mindset: Keep the consumer at the heart of social media decisions and inspire teams accordingly.
  • Influencing & persuasion: Sell ideas, gain buy-in, and drive consensus with stakeholders.
Strategy, Planning & Execution
  • Collaborate with the Global Social Media Director on forward-thinking strategies that incorporate broader channel and cultural trends.
  • Manage cross-functional content creation teams to deliver social-first concepts and represent the Global Social Team confidently.
  • Ideate, plan and activate campaigns across all channels.
  • Oversee relationships with key agencies to generate creator content from concept through briefing and execution.
  • Oversee Global Social Media Coordinator’s output for CRQs, calendars, guidelines, and Go-To-Market decks.
  • Oversee the monthly paid social media budget, ensuring effective allocation and optimisation.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure local strategies align with global strategy.
Insights & Reporting
  • Oversee tracking of content performance across channels, using insights to iterate strategies and tactics.
  • Present insights to senior management and articulate recommendations across the business.
  • Oversee the Global Social Media Coordinator’s output for all reports, adapting to business needs.
Finance
  • Work with the Global Social Media Director to allocate spend across the year and manage the social budget per global strategy.
  • Oversee the Global Social Media Coordinator to ensure activity follows appropriate processes.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 8 years in social media marketing.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects in detail.
