Overview

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students; you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The role involves working with the news editor and journalism tutors to increase the reach of the Northern Quota website through promotion of student content on social media channels. The successful candidate will attend newsdays and work alongside student editors and reporters to select stories for promotion on social media. It is expected that the candidate will take control of the Northern Quota's social media output and create a new strategy for audience engagement, working alongside tutors and the news editor.

Dates: Term 1 (01 Oct -12 Dec 2025) Hours of Work: 4 hours per week Details of briefing/training: Briefing will take place with hiring manager following successful recruitment.
