JOB SUMMARY

You are an experienced newsroom social media coordinator with stron g content creation and video editing skills. You will have a deep understanding of social media strategy, trends , social video editing and working with influencers . You will have a proven track record of executing a strong level of social media growth and engagement across projects. You are proactive and want to make an impact within our newsroom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with social media leadsand various teams across theorganizationto develop and execute social media plans to meet goals and increase brand awareness.
  • Work with editorial staff and creators to plan collaboration content for Newsweek’s Instagram accounts.
  • Build strategies and create engaging content tailored to each platform, including text, images, andvideos.
  • Edit social first video sent to you by staff andoptimizethem for social media.
  • Analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media campaignsand compile reports with key statistics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in social media management.
  • Ensure allsocial mediacontent follows Newsweek editorial guidelines and brand standards.
  • Keep up to date knowledge of social media trends and key changes across apps.
  • Any other reasonable duties to meet the needs of the business.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Significant years of experience growing a social media audience.
  • Thorough knowledge of optimizationof editorial and non-editorial content for a social media audience.
  • Strong understanding of meta business suite and other social analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of Canva and ability to create eye-catching and engaging social media graphicsand video.
  • A strong background in video editing and producing social first videos
  • Expertorganizationalskills withanability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communicationskills withanability to present plans and data in an easy-to-understand way.
  • A proventrack recordof productive cross-functional collaboration with teams.
