An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Care Practitioner to become part of the High Peak North Social Work Team. The post is fixed term initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension, based upon the existing post holders returning to the post.

We are situated in Glossop, but also serve the surrounding villages. The High Peak, however picturesque, is rural, so access to a car is essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy team. The successful candidate will have a focus on assessments, duty, reassessments and reviews. We embrace strength-based approach to practice, whilst working in collaboration with colleagues across health and social care services.

Experience and knowledge of the role and long-term social work services preferred, equally we are a supportive team. The post holder will be required to have excellent communication skills, ability to prioritise and be prepared to work as part of a team.
