The practice is a busy, centrally located clinic featuring four consult rooms, a dedicated surgical theatre, a digital x-ray suite, a spacious prep area, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, and in-house blood machines. The team is led by a dedicated Practice Manager and Lead Vet, supported by an experienced Head Nurse and a strong nursing and support team.
They are seeking a vet who is confident with surgical procedures, particularly non-routine surgeries, and who would welcome the opportunity to take the lead on surgical cases. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a key clinical position within a respected and well-equipped practice.
This is a permanent, full-time position across four days per week, with a shared Saturday rota of either 1 in 3 half days or 1 in 6 full Saturdays. There are no out-of-hours commitments. They also understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to discussing flexible arrangements to suit your needs.
If you're relocating from more than 60 miles away or from outside the UK, they can discuss a relocation package to support your move.
This practice is committed to building the best workplace for veterinary professionals. This role at Scunthorpe offers the opportunity to become part of a progressive, friendly, and growing veterinary community. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package including private medical insurance from day one, a health cash plan covering physio, dental, and optical needs, and access to a 24/7 private GP and counselling support.
The package includes five weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays (rising to six with length of service), an additional paid ‘Day for You’, and a CPD allowance of £1,500 with three days' paid leave. You’ll also have access to internal CPD programmes, Clinical Communities, and fully funded certificate opportunities.
Professional fees for VDS, RCVS, and BVA are covered, and additional benefits include sabbaticals based on service, interest-free season ticket loans, a Cycle to Work scheme, and generous discounts
For candidates requiring sponsorship, they can provide full support for Certificates of Sponsorship (Tier 2 Visa) along with relocation assistance.
