About the Practice

Our client is a highly respected independent veterinary practice with a heritage that can be traced back to the late 19th century. Built on generations of trust, clinical excellence, and community care, the practice has continued to evolve and invest — today boasting facilities and equipment that are almost unparalleled for a first‑opinion practice in the UK.

Situated in a popular and picturesque town in North Somerset, the location offers an enviable lifestyle. Rich in history and community spirit, it combines modern amenities with easy access to both beautiful countryside and nearby urban centres, delivering the perfect balance of professional opportunity and quality of life.

Over the years, the practice has grown into a successful five‑practice group across the region, anchored by an RCVS‑accredited small animal hospital. The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, featuring in‑house CT and MRI, ultrasound, digital X‑ray, a fully equipped dental suite including dental X‑ray, and comprehensive orthopaedic and soft‑tissue surgical facilities.

Role

The successful candidate will join a supportive and highly skilled team of seven veterinary surgeons, including certificate holders in Imaging and Medicine. All vets are based at the main hospital site and provide daily cover to nearby branch practices, which are consult‑only and all within a 20‑minute drive.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated small animal veterinary surgeon looking to work within a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment. A minimum of two years’ experience in small animal practice is required. While not essential, a surgical interest would be highly valued, and the practice is happy to support a surgical certificate for the right candidate.
