A prominent healthcare provider in Southampton is seeking a skilled skull base practitioner to join their neuro oncology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and advising patients, coordinating treatment following vestibular schwannoma, and attending multidisciplinary clinics. The ideal applicant will possess a Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate or Master's degree, along with relevant clinical experience and leadership skills. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a skull base practitioner within the neuro oncology team. The successful applicant will monitor, follow up and give advice to the skull base patient group, hosting practitioner led clinics and participating in research. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will attend multidisciplinary skull base clinics and MDTs, provide information, education and practical support for patients and their families with vestibular schwannoma and other skull base pathologies, be a single point of contact for questions about diagnosis, scan results, changes in symptoms and coordination of treatment. You will help in the follow up and rehabilitation of patients after the treatment of their vestibular schwannoma including referral to and liaising with other agencies such as audiology, physiotherapy, speech therapy and vestibular rehabilitation, and participate in data entry and coordination of the national Vestibular schwannoma database.
