About The Role:
Shift Pattern:Variable shift patter dependent on business needs (the role is looking after a 24 hour operation, so this will involve days and/or nights)
Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, The Site Security Assistant Manager will responsible for ensuring the site and all extended property are kept safe and secure. This role will cover both the Day & Night operations. They will be working closely with Gatehouse & NightSecurity teams to put in place procedures and policies to ensure a smoothly run operation. Guaranteeing Health & Safety, Site & Park Access procedures are continuously followed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monthly perimeter/vulnerability checks/Audits, ensure any easy access on site is promptly flagged and escalated to the relevant departments. This also includes weekly/monthly visits to our extended property.
- Help ensure the reduction of ongoing unsecure units on the resort by working with department heads as required.
- Ensuring the completion of weekly fire alarm checks for all relevant units by the NightSecurity team and proactively responding to any logged access issues or faults.
- Act as “on-call” Security Management on a rotating basis.
- Refining site/park access – this includes (but is not limited to) staff parking permits, location of parking areas, contractor parking & access in addition to working with current site management system to get the best results.
- Improvement and support with the Gatehouse operation and working with Health & Safety with regards to contractor management.
- Creating policies/procedures around our extended properties, poachers & other trespassing activity.
- Supporting running of the Resort Day Operation as a member of the management team, taking on Duty Manager shifts as required.
- Ensuring Night Security team compliance with Code of Safe Working Practice and supporting ongoing improvement and coaching as required.
- Building a greater relationship and synergy with the Hotel teams, particularly in the context of the resort Evening and Night operations. A key focus on Security with regards to searching of guests and dealing with incidents.
- Ensure that exceptional customer service is being delivered by the team by delivering training and monitoring service standards ensuring that all relevant operational & security processes are being followed.
- To work closely with the wider operations, continuing to build on interdepartmental relationships
- Ensure the department is fully recruited and all staff are fully trained on all aspects of their role.
- Ensure team are multi-skilled to create more robust system within the department.
- Managing the rostering of staff to ensure we stay in line with department staffing budget
- Taking the lead role in managing the security aspect of late-night events the park may put on for guests.
- Achieving a thorough knowledge of all IT systems, including undertaking first line maintenance of the system to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Ensure that direct reports are using their time efficiently, and spending quality time on the park with the team working on the front line as well as reporting back findings on good/ poor performance.
- Ensure there is an open line of communication from the seasonal to permanent teams, and that all decisions made are consistent in their approach.
- Lead by example in any guest interaction, by providing the highest level of service. Consistently keeping professional standards high across the department.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Experienced in the use of CCTV Systems (desirable, but not essential)
- SIA Door Supervisor
- Proficient in a variety of communications systems, including radio and telephone use
- High level of motivation
- Experienced in the use of Windows operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- People Management
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to talk to all types of guests
- Problem solving and decision-making techniques
