A global financial services group in Greater London is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer, Senior Associate to join their dynamic Engineering team. This role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms, monitoring and optimising systems, and collaborating across teams to streamline data workflows. Candidates should have strong proficiency in Python and SQL, experience with AWS, and the ability to diagnose technical issues efficiently. This position supports hybrid working arrangements, requiring 3 days a week on-site.
Our Engineering team at Macquarie plays a critical role in supporting the organisation’s data‑driven decision‑making. We design, maintain, and optimise data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and associated tools, enabling seamless data ingestion, storage, and querying across our platforms. The team works collaboratively with business users, developers, data engineers, and platform specialists to deliver reliable and scalable solutions that support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you join our dynamic Engineering team and help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data platforms. You monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems that support vital data workflows, enabling smooth data movement and accessibility across the organisation. You work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve issues, automate processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
