About the role

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, multi skilled and organised Site Manager to join our Federation, to be responsible for the day-to-day security, safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of the school. This role is varied and includes all aspects of premises management as well as completion of Health & Safety compliance and line management of the cleaning teams. There is an element of lone working in this role. Please see the candidate information pack attached for the full details.

Responsibilities
  • Being the primary key holder, locking and unlocking of the premises
  • First responder to alarm/fire call outs or other emergencies outside of school hours (for which overtime will be paid accordingly)
  • Project support - the ability to consult with contractors to organise unplanned and scheduled works and to check that works are completed to the standard required
  • The management/ordering and safe storage of cleaning materials (COSHH)
  • Responsibility for Health & Safety duties and compliance reports
  • Responsible for the regular checking and operation of systems such as heating, lighting and security systems
  • A comprehensive range of DIY skills such as routine painting and decorating, gardening, general maintenance and repairs will also be a part of the role
The successful candidate will

  • Possess a good standard of education eg GCSE in Maths and English 5/C+ or above or equivalent
  • Have good timekeeping
  • As with all staff you will understand the importance of promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection policy
Hours and benefits

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, with a pattern to be negotiated. 25 days holiday to be taken during school holiday periods.
