Site Manager - Social Housing Refurbishment

£40,000 - £43,000 + van and fuel card

South Holland District | Full-time | Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established social housing contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee refurbishment works across occupied and void properties. This role is focused on kitchens, bathrooms, and aids & adaptations, delivering high-quality outcomes while maintaining excellent standards of safety, communication, and resident care.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site operations across multiple properties, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing social housing refurbishment projects including kitchens, bathrooms, and aids & adaptations.
  • Coordinating directly employed operatives and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Managing multiple workstreams across various properties, producing and maintaining working programmes.
  • Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation, CDM 2015, and company procedures.
  • Conducting site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting.
  • Liaising with residents, client representatives, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Ensuring materials, labour, and plant are effectively planned and controlled.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience managing social housing refurbishment projects, particularly kitchens, bathrooms, and aids & adaptations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety, and CDM 2015 requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple live workstreams across occupied properties.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • CSCS Black or Gold Card.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
