About the opportunity

In this flexible, field based role, you will manage PFS (Petrol Forecourt Services) and non PFS sites within your assigned region, liaising with a range of key stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of civils works / EV infrastructure projects in compliance with relevant standards, specifications and within budget.

This role is suited to someone based in Birmingham, Midlands or the surrounding areas.

What you'll do
  • Work closely with Project Managers to effectively plan projects, ensuring that all project requirements, specification, design drawings, health and safety proposals are read, understood and agreed, and that a project management program is in place.
  • Maintain the work schedule and track progress, compiling and providing weekly reports, safety audits and records to Project Manager / office.
  • Plan, maintain and track deliveries of stock and materials in line with project programmes and schedules.
  • Check that all materials are compliant with technical and quality specifications and all works are carried out in accordance to technical standards and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety of public, site visitors and staff on site at all times.
  • Supervise and manage all site operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work.
  • Ensuring understanding and compliance with companies Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and procedures all the times.
  • Ensure highest SHEQ standards are enforced.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our ICP / EV charge teams and all sub-contractors and other trades.
  • Work to CDM regulations.
About you

You have been in a similar role for a least 2 years and have a solid understanding of construction works combined with onsite project management, in particular civils. A naturally motivated team player, you are adept collaborating at all levels and enjoy interacting with a broad range of trades and stakeholders.You appreciate variety and have a flexible approach to your work in relation to travel. The following skills and attributes will ensure you are set you up to succeed :

  • SMSTS Qualification
  • Experience working in public high traffic areas
  • Understanding and interpretation of site drawings
  • Understanding of site surveys to ensure avoidance of buried services
  • Natural leadership, planning & organisational skills
  • Problem solving with the ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously and to a conclusion
  • CSCS card holder
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Street works is a big plus
Additional / desirable
  • Experience of ICP / IDNO projects and sites
  • Industry background / experience
  • UKPIA / SPA accredited
  • NRSWA Street works qualified (either Supervisor or Operative)
  • Experience working on petrol forecourt sites would be a plus
  • H&S Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
  • First Aid
