Site Manager - Private Residential New Build

Location: Maisemore, Gloucestershire

Project: 37-unit traditional build housing development

We are working in partnership with a growing private housebuilder to recruit an experienced No.1 Site Manager for a new 37-unit timber frame development in Maisemore. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-backed, quality-driven developer at an exciting stage of their growth.

The Role

As the No.1 Site Manager, you will take full ownership of the site, overseeing all on-site activities from pre-start through to handover. You will manage subcontractors and trades, drive the programme, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain build quality throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day operations on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
  • Maintain quality control and conduct snagging and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with NHBC standards and all health & safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, including technical and customer care
  • Keep accurate records, manage site documentation, and report on progress
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a No.1 Site Manager on private residential housing schemes
  • Experience delivering timber frame homes to a high standard
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification required
  • Strong understanding of NHBC and Building Control processes
