Job Overview

The role of Site Manager is vital to the smooth running of our school. The successful individual will be on hand to open and close our school and support daily operations. Working hours will be discussed and agreed at interview.

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the school and manage day‑to‑day operations.
  • Maintain exemplary standards of security, safety, maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Motivate and manage onsite contractors and the school team.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Law and Fire Safety Law.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and site risk assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • Handle basic DIY tasks such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing.
  • Use computer tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and diary systems to schedule and record activities.
  • Provide solution‑focused leadership and flexible support to meet school needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Good working knowledge of facility management.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team and onsite contractors.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety Law and Fire Safety Law.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and site risk assessments.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • DIY and handy person skills: basic decorating, carpentry, and plumbing.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willingness to learn our online asset and building management system.
