Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead on-site delivery of our residential construction projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme, on budget, and to the high standards Homesolve is known for.

This role demands proactive leadership, excellent organisation, and strong communication with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site operations across assigned projects.
  • Drive construction programmes to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades teams, and direct labour.
  • Supervise works from mobilisation to handover, including snagging and completion.
  • Maintain strict site Health & Safety compliance and enforcement of safe systems of work.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, building control standards, and quality control systems.
  • Lead regular safety audits, briefings, and compliance checks.
  • Oversee workmanship quality and conformance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections at key work stages and resolve defects promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head Office, Project Managers, consultants, and clients.
  • Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and forecast risk or delays.
  • Attend site meetings, record minutes, and manage site documentation.
  • Assist in planning labour, plant, and materials to maximise efficiency on site.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring delivery to quality and programme expectations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Essential
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction or conversion projects.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • In-depth working knowledge of UK construction processes and regulations.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card (Manager / Supervisor).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable
  • Experience with project management software.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
